THERAPY, COACHING
Sara Ruiz, MS, LPC-IT
I help people reclaim their self-worth, heal their relationship with food and body image, and navigate major life transitions with curiosity and compassion. I offer a nonjudgmental, affirming space where you can explore what’s holding you back and take steps toward meaningful, lasting change. Whether you’re working through eating concerns, struggling with self-acceptance, or feeling stuck in life, I’ll walk alongside you as you move toward a greater sense of peace, purpose, and possibility.
Over the past four years, I’ve had the honor of working closely with individuals navigating eating disorders, including athletes balancing performance with well-being. My background includes clinical training and direct care in both outpatient and higher-level-of-care settings. I bring this experience to our work together with deep respect for your story and your strengths.
I also support individuals looking to feel more confident and grounded in their performance—whether that’s in the workplace, classroom, or on the field. As an athlete myself, I understand the challenges of managing sport, school, and life, and I love helping others build tools for resilience, mental wellness, and self-trust.
My approach is client-centered and rooted in body acceptance, the principles of Health at Every Size (HAES), and the practices of self-compassion and self-efficacy—because every body is powerful, every person is worthy, and everyone deserves healing.
When I’m not supporting clients, you can find me reading, painting with watercolors, exploring creative arts, hiking, birding, swimming, or running. At the end of the day, I love unwinding with my husband and cat, a warm cup of tea or hot chocolate in hand, and a bit of quiet peace.
